Happy Birthday To...

What's New?
There haven't been many updates to the website recently. There is however, an enforced message limit of 100 messages per member. This is to help reduce the consumption of resources. Once you reach your limit, all incoming messages will be rejected, so clean out your Inbox!
There is also a new Prize Draw which consists of a brand spanking new RIK t-shirt! These t-shirts are hot off the press and what better way to show everyone that you support the Hungarian youth. The draw closes on the 23rd of May 2004, so hurry up and enter it now!

Welcome to the very first issue of the YoungHuns Monthly Newsletter! As part of our on-going commitment to our members, we felt that a monthly newsletter which summarises the activities on the website for that month would fulfil our obligation to keep our members informed of the Australian-Hungarian community. According to our recent User Poll and Forum discussions, two-thirds of you expressed interest in receiving this newsletter. For the other one-third, please make yourself aware that due to recent legislations, you have the option to not receive this monthly newsletter. Please read the text at the bottom of this page for more details. So, we hope you will come to enjoy your monthly dose of YoungHuns and if you have any suggestions, we're always keen to listen!
Also, there is a Winter Sleepout being organised for the 22nd of May 2004 at the Cserkesz Park. Everyone is invited to come along! If you're interested in coming along, then please contact us ASAP!
Do you fancy yourself to be a singer? Even if you don't, do you enjoy singing and want to be apart of something challenging? Then we invite you to star in this year's Táncdalfesztivál! No matter where you're from, we have singers from all over Australia! No singing experience required. Just a passion for singing and a willingness to participate is all that's required! For more information, please visit the Táncdalfesztivál section of the website.

Well they've really done it this time, those damn red-neck current affairs TV producers! It was just tonight actually, watching one of those trivial feature stories, melodramatic current affairs programs, when they featured a story about some kid who became a father at 14. Yes, that's pretty scary... but what was truly frightening was that slack-jawed yokel female who was the mother of the kid.
Now I understand teenagers getting frisky, hormones raging, and the inability of a young lad of that age to pass up a shag or anything that may be considered part of the process... I mean, I still am only 18 myself. But even at my young age I am educated enough to realise that intercourse with animals is morally and ethically wrong! Science has already enlightened us with the fact that you cannot produce any sort of human-horse crossbred animal, so why try? Defenceless animals should be left in their pen, and 14-year-old kids should be in the playground, farting on one-another's head and picking their noses as kids are supposed to do.
Oh, such monstrosities! Back in my day...

Welcome everyone to our new monthly newsletter!!! We are very excited to be able to bring you direct news and updates from YoungHuns and RIK.
Well, after listening to all your requests of wanting to meet new people, both Hungarians and other RIK members, we have been as busy as bees and have come up with a couple ideas, which will be going ahead very soon! Firstly we have a Winter Sleepout being organised as a joint effort between RIK, Cserkeszek and the Magyar Kozpont Tanccsoport. This weekend will be held on the 22nd of May with plenty of food and fun times for us to all join in!
Secondly, RIK has been meeting with Peter and Tadd who own the Korona Restaurant & Bar, and they have kindly allowed us to use the Korona to hold a cocktail style gathering with plenty of food and drinks and a band to keep us entertained. But hopefully there will be plenty of RIK members there to keep each other entertained with one another's company. This evening will be held on the 13th of June which leaves you plenty of time to start planning your evening and keeping it free. So come join us for the Hétvégi Láz A Koronában! evening at the Korona.

RIK-T News
Swing Swing Swing!!! RIK-T is flat out currently rehearsing for the HCC Dance Group Annual Ball on the 3rd July 2004. We have approximately 10 couples sweating there little hearts & bodies away. It seems there is so much demand for our Swing dances that I have had to choreograph yet another one.
I am also in the process of producing the opening of the Táncdalfesztivál. I can assure you that this will be beyond anything you have ever seen… but it’s all a secret that cannot yet be revealed. If you have any interest in taking part in these events, please contact RIK-T on rik-t@hungarianyouth.org.au.
